I am purchasing the brenspeed tune with the C&l... I only have about 200 miles on the odometer, should I wait until it's broke in??

Do these tunes reduce gas mileage? Thanks.

I broke mine in the day I bought it! The oil change isnt required, but always a good idea. On these cars there really isnt anything to "break in". The rings seat almost instantly and there are no hydraulic lifters so, I say break it in like you're gonna drive it.

On the gas milage..... the "premium fuel" tune gets worse gas milage, but the 87 octane tune doesn't seem bad. Its all in how much that extra HP is worth to you. I personally like the "premium " tune enough that I dont care about the milage. I think you'll argee.

Does anyone know if you can revert back to the stock tune after you have applied the 93 octane tune?

yes...the XCal2 holds your stock tune. It takes less than 5 minuits to change back.

I have the C&L with the brenspeed tune. I get about 23mpg with the 93octane tune. I have 11,000 miles on the ole' girl now and have no issues. I did a LOT of shift pattern changes to get this thing where i feel like the tranny works best with the motor upgrades. I don't have any idea what mileage i would get with the stock shift pattern.

I put 400 miles on my GT before I installed the first mods, gave her an oil change on the first 1000 miles.

I broke my baby in pulling of the lot.
