Default Trading up?

Guys, my 06 V6 sits in my driveway most of the time, the driving around here can be brutal for a 5 speed anything. End result is that I need something with an automatic. Soooooo... I figured if I am trading up I'm going to get all the things I wished I would have when I bought the 06. I found a CHERRY 07 GT convertible (auto, of course). The car has 79K miles on it, but it looks like it has been garaged for most of its life. No leaks, appears clean.
Not having owned a GT, what should I expect to do to a GT with that many miles? I'm looking forward to think about what it might need in the short term, or even the long term. Should I have the transmission serviced? I've built a couple of older Ponies (see in my login name), so not afraid to turn some wrenches on her if I buy her... I'm just wondering if there are any tell tale signs of something wrong that I need to look for.
I played with tuning on my V6, and is a fun car to drive, but if I trade up, it's going to be an automatic. And a GT... and woohoo, a convertible!

Belts, hoses, brakes, suspension. Take it for a test drive.
I know by 60K the auto tranny fluid should be changed out. Brakes flushed if needed, coolant flush...

Check the top for tears or signs of sun aging...rear window glass?

Take a magnet to check body panels for too much filler...

It's free to look, and if you don't feel it walk away.. always be prepared to walk.

Excellent, i was planning on going thru it anyway. I always like to know what's in my cars, but also when you "feel them up" you get a little closer. I was wondering about the transmission or motor, but I am reading they are pretty strong for many miles over 79K.

You'll love the additional kick in the butt from the GT compared to the V6.
