Default Purchasing a 2012 Boss 302

Hello all. I'm in the midst of purchasing a 2012 Boss and it only has 1 key. Starting to do some research I know now they have the M-9603-MBTKA but where would I find or is it possible to get the red key? Any help would be much appreciated.

This is what I found online - (If you lost the red key then you will need to purchase a replacement key from the local Ford dealer and have it cut to match your ignition switch before installing the Trackey software at the dealer.)

thank you. Curious, how does the tune know to match the red key? I mean if you download the tune it seems any key would run that tune I wonder how it knows to use the red key only

Do you have to buy the $680 pack with it?

I'm sure the answer depends....
If you want to piecemeal it you MIGHT be able to get it to work but, if you have problems, you're going to be paying for support or hardware replacements to get any problems fixed. The cost of support will quickly eat up any savings you may have gotten from piecemealing it out and could actually end up costing you more.

If you pay the $680 package price, hardware and some basic connectivity issues are covered under warranty.

It's up to you.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't want to piecemeal it at all. Actually, I bought just a red key replacement and took it to the dealer and they programmed it for 69.00.
