i think we ALL need to accept that cars won't always be made where they are concepted in this era. the world market is much more than it was in the golden years and will continue to evolve. i think we can all realize and accept it unless of course you're in denial. Also, I think we should start labeling cars "american" or "non-american" BASED on where they are CONCEPTED, not where they were made. who knows, down the road mustangs could be built in another country as well. sounds far fetched to some but the way things are going, its definately a possibility. I still believe Chargers are american as well as all other American concepted cars regardless of where they were made. Don't forget all the common products that we find in stores that are american companies but OH LOOK!...made in china, made in india, made in mexico, made in antartica, hahah jk, etc....that doesnt make them chinese, indian, mexican products....does it? I THINK NOT. the same goes for cars. i wish american cars were all built in america but it just ain't that way anymore. this nation has to support the world economy by creating jobs in other nations which results in the USA being the leader of EARTH.....hehe. we refuse to be second place....just my opinion.......as for a muscle car having to be a 2 door.....i think thats evolving also. i think 4 doors can be muscle also. i believe the charger is muscle. things change and you can't live your life thinking something based off a definition in the encyclopedia......definitions change often if you haven't noticed. besides, car companies will dictate what is musclecar or what is not over time by what they produce. 4 door is more functional nowadays so thats why the charger is a 4 door. My Stang is #1 in my heart but Chargers are pretty cool too.....hey, whats all this talk about Dodge Charger?...i thought i was in a Mustang forum....hahaha,jk

OH YEAH....Look what you started Pickett....hahaha....dont agree with everything you say but i do respect your opinion....this thread has been awesome!......makes everyone think....humans are thinkers....thats what differs us from chickens.....HAHAHA

Try driving your low car in our port city here in Charleston, South Carolina. You'll be regretting days later because of all the tractor trailer traffic not including the wood chip trucks all dropping their load to and from the paper mill.

The car is too high and needs to be lowered whether its heritage or not lol

sally,
as a mentally retarded gynecologist i would suggest an adjustment in your hormones to help you deal with anger management. perhaps this is the ist time in your life you are wrong on any subject ( but will probably never admit it)
Does your professed profession qualify you as a stupid puszy?

Wrong? I've been wrong many times. But when it comes to opinion, is there a true right or wrong? In cases involving preferences about the way a car looks, no... there's no true right or wrong. In cases involving opinions on how to execute a war, yes... there are indeed right and wrong opinions.

I'm not an angry guy, not by any means. I just like offering my opinion and counter-arguing why I think other's are 'challenged'.

You're right. When dealing with saliant subjects like this, definitions do indeed change over time. Someday, people may call ricers musclecars.

Yeah, I started a shtstorm... but I'm forever compelled to point out the misguided and direct them towards the light and away from ricing muscle cars.

Take out those ricey seats that our stangs come with and put in a couple of these 60's style bad boys.

Ok and check out this stubby looking two door gangsta, confederate wannabe, duece duece rolling charger

Is this considered rice?

This clears up a question I've had for years but was always afraid to ask. What did the R stand for with the 2000 Cobra R? Now thanks to Sally I know it stood for Ricer. Thanks.

The new mustang is what brought me back to Ford because of the nostalgia the car represented. It obviously has had a profound impact as every car manufacturer is scurrying to get out their 'muscle car' knockoffs as soon as possible. Most of them just don't get it because their version of a muscle car basically sucks. I went through a lot with my car because I wanted the nostalgia to be represented but I also wanted a totally unique stang of my own and I wanted my car to be known and talked about wherever I went. The ONLY body kit I feel is acceptable is the ROUSH. It closely captures the old fastback look and keeps the car retro. I think Saleen, 3D, streret scene, and most of the others ruins the car.

BUT - I AM GUILTY of putting Blue Carbon Fiber in my dash. To be honest, It looked like a matching sonic blue when I bought it online, and when the kit came, it was MUCH BRIGHTER than I anticipated. I still put it on and it is the only thing that I feel is 'Ricy' on my car. HAVING SAID THAT, it is also a fact that when I'm at the drags, the interior (besides performance) is what gets the most attention and praise. People seem to love it. And I am a purist at heart. I went through a great deal of misery to wire in a tach adapter where I had to pull both sides of the wiring harness to get it to work. A 20 minute project turned out to be a 4 hour ordeal. But I did it because I think only real pro drag cars should have a humungous tach on the dash. I needed a shift light and went through the trouble to have just that without the gianormous tach.

What I'm saying is that I learned that the car is about being an indvidual. If all the cars looked the same, then it wouldn't be fun now would it. In retrospect, I have been hard on the saleen, 3D, & other guys and I now say, 'DO WHAT YOU WILL' to your stang and make it your own. Besides, no matter what they do...they'll never beat me at the track!...lol

I'm not crazy about carbon fiber, but I like the blue. I want to put a dash kit in mine as well, I think I just want to do the center console in brushed alum. Also, who did your seats?
