Can I be pro-naked AND pro-tattoo? Or do I have to pick one or the other, like with stem-cell research and the 2nd amendment
And now we're back to the Bill of Rights again! [sm=americanasmiley.gif]

If people want to spend the time and money to "rice" out a car, I can apprieciate the 'work' that went into a car. The end result is a different story. Do I like "ricey" looking cars? Hell no I usually laugh at those guys, but I don't think I would take the time to document my feelings on a message board with a well thought out, thoroughly backed up post. These tacky cars are (mostly) done by kids who only know what they see on TV and see in school, it's a fad and I treat it as such, but I would never tell anybody they're wrong for their taste in cars.

As far as the "only go fast" approach, I don't agree. I thing their needs to be a fine balance between looks and speed (for me leaning more towards speed). When I do appearance mods they are usually subtle such as tint, lowering springs or maybe a front lip. I personally like my car to be unique but not gaudy. I do want rims for my car, but there are only a few select rims I have in mind that follow the look I'm tryng for (I want the Black/Chrome deepdish wheels).

In summation, I don't really have the desire to voice my opinion when I don't like what someone has done to their car, there's too much negativity in the world as it is...

Do you really want all these idiot kids making their cars stupid fast and just crashing into everything or would you rather have them spend all their money on plastic? I would rather have them look fast and go slow....kids cant drive.

I'm not crazy about carbon fiber, but I like the blue. I want to put a dash kit in mine as well, I think I just want to do the center console in brushed alum. Also, who did your seats?
I liked the blue carbon too, it's just that I was anticipating the darker blue to match the mustang. it is much brighter than it looks in the picture. But, as I said, people seem to love it. Ordered the stuff from California mustangs (online store) and they have dozens of colors and patterns to choose from. It is a glue kit and takes about 1 1/2 hours to do it right. I also have the upgraded 3-piece kit and you can just get the basic kit for around $200.00 that's only the main dash elements.

Oh and ROUSH did my seats...

Oh I never said I want any idiot to have/make a fast car. Personally I prefer people to build ugly "show" cars that get dusted by cars with real work done.

My car, will do as I please with it. I think Saleen's look 20x better and more aggressive. The car doesn't look very mean in stock form, needs to be lowered a little and the aggressive lines in the Saleen Body kits make it look awesome. I can agree they might not help performance, and wouldn't throw a body kit on a stock car, as to me it is almost rice. But if you make the engine nice and mean, and a force to be reckoned with, then you can throw on a badass bodykit to let the outside world know exactly what they're messing with.

Ha,

I like it when people do ugly/stupid things to their cars, and I like it more when people follow in their footsteps... Why? Because if people did the exact same things to their car as I did to mine... I'd be pissed off. lol.

Example for the Cervini's kit. Sure it may look ok, for a few mustangs... but not for 50% of the Mustang population.

Hell, I did something not even I thought I would do... I put splash guards on my car to keep the ****ing crap on the road off my car as much as possible. Is that Mustang-ish? No, but it's functional... and I did try and find the best looking ones I could find, that blended in with the car as much as possible.

Anyway, point is ... a lot of people do stupid things to their cars because they like them/think other people like them. You may not agree with them, and you can exercise your right to ignore them...

This has been the funniest, most enjoyable thread I have read in awhile.
I, like everyone else, have my own opinion about what does and does not look good.
There are parts I've seen on cars that look hideous to me, and then I've seen the same parts on other cars, and somehow they looked perfect.
I would like to stick to all performance add-ons, but sometimes, a set of quarter window louvers looks good, while doing nothing for the horsepower or torque.
I have a nonfunctional hood scoop, and think it makes the car look just that much tougher.
I'm still on the fence about getting a hood with a functional scoop.
Mostly worried about all the driving I do in torrential downpours.
Either way, functional or not, a hood scoop will be on my Stang.
I have put things on my Stang that I thought would look good, only to take them off because they didn't.
Sometimes, just because they were or were not chrome, and didn't look good in that area of the car.
Look good to who?
Why, me of course.
If you like what I've done to my car, cool.
If not, that's okay too.
I'm sure you've done things to your car I think look hideous, but if you like it, more power to you.
I don't like 747 wings on the back, I think the whole carbon fiber look has gone too far, and I don't like Cobra emblems on anything but a Cobra.
But you can go ahead and do all of that to your car.
I'll just laugh a little.
