Default Octane Boosters.... DONT USE THEM!!!

Just wanted to give some people a heads up so they can passs the word. I blew all my spark plugs at 3500 miles with one can of octane booster from A*toZ*ne... Brought it to the dealer 3 times couldnt find the problem with the car ... kept breaking up on the highway about 4-6 grand... with and without the tune... SO just watch out... I have read other forums and have heard the same problem. Now I am in a fight with ford to get my cash back due to the fact that i diagnosed the spark plug issue myself...

Umm, you had other problems.
Octane Booster won't "blow" all your spark plugs.
I've used Octane Booster in nearly ALL the cars I've owned
(which is more than 30) in my 17 years of driving with ZERO issues
from them.
As have MILLIONS and MILLIONS of other people.
I go to the race track often as well, where MANY people use Octane Boosters in
replacement to race gas if they can't get it.
Again, no issues related to it.

There have also been tests conducted by several scientific sources, more recently
Sport Compact Car who had professional labs test the Octane Boosters and
sure enough, they ACTUALLY did raise the Octane points in all the gas they tested.

I'm no mechanic, but I'd say have your air/fuel ratio checked, have your ECU timing checked too.

Exactly... your no mechanic... and i am... So... back to what i had said. It was just a heads up... If you google search alot of other people had the same problems AFTER the use of the octane boosters. This is a forum to give suggestions not to be an a$$ and shoot down what someone says when you dont even know the issues others have been having... Sorry if you work for an Octane Booster company however, since you have been driving for sooo long and "Millions" use the products... Keep using it... Dont come on here posting wondering why you are miss-firing on the highway...

I have been running 100 octane unleaded along with octane boost and have had no problems. I dont think that was the cause of your problem.

I don't use the octane boost as our car is set from the factory for 87 octane, however I have switched to 93 since I have the CandL and Predator. Knowing the car is set for 87 why would you boost octane, with the advance in technology its not like driving a 69 BOSS where more is better?
