Default Shift issues with BAMA tune/ odd torque converter operation

Hello all,
I bought the bluetooth tuner from AM and had just the stock street and performance tune done since my car is basically stock (except ram air hood) The issue I had originally it seemed the car shifted up through the gears way too fast but another issue I have been experiencing is that 5th gear and the TC seem to engage almost at the same time, causing a huge drop in RPM and sort of a "lugging" feeling. Also seems every time I momentarily let off the gas and re-apply the TC disengages then re-engages when I hit the gas causing strange engine RPM changes where it seemed the stock tune doesn't release the TC so quickly.
I had them tweak the shift points some so they don't shift up so fast but the TC still does the same thing. Anyone else have this issue? If I shift up manually (delaying the shifts) it works better. It's too bad you can tweak some of these things yourself..

Thanks,
John
Sorry this should be in the V8 section, my car is a GT auto. Can a mod move it or shall I repost it over there?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having some issues with your Bama custom tune. We send out thousands of tunes and build them all from the ground up for your PCM code and your mods. They're not just "canned" tunes, they're built custom by our team, so every once in a while it's possible we mess one up!

It sounds like somethings going on with the TC, we can look into this further for you and definitely get to the bottom of it. Please shoot me a PM with your order number included and I'll have our head tuning specialist reach out to you directly!

Hang in there, we'll have you enjoying your tune in no time!

-Dan

If its the iTSX tuner mine crashed twice while on the Dyno. Cost me big bucks! I sent it back. If I were you I would just get the hand held one. They wont tell you (SCT) that they have tons of problems with the tuner itself. Make sure you have the "new" model, they recently upgraded them.
