Returned tonight since the temps have dropped into the low 50s, and ran a 13.22@107. This car continues to surprise me.
Nice times. I have seen them rated at about 13.2 at 105 by the pros so that is a good time. Can't wait for my mach in a week.

those are thearound the same times i have see pro drivers drive a stock one.. but thier pro so no biggie.... neways try around 2700-2800rpms and that is prob the best take off time your gonna get from the info you told. And the addition of 4:10's will make a big difference in the 1/4 mile times you should be real low 13's
Interesting. Ive seen several manual STOCK machs run 13.1-.3's. A PRO driver (E. SMITH/mm&ff) got one to go 12.99 bone stock. Yeah, he's a helluva driver too.

You'd be surprised what Pro Drivers know about racing that we don't. I haven't seen any stock Machs with everyday Joes get anywhere near that. Just have to learn by trial and error. Since getting 4.10s, I spin 2nd bad (wheel hopping). I shift at 6500+ and more or less power shift. So basically, I hit second at 6500+rpms. Short-shifting makes my ETs worse. I raced a similiar modded 05 GT last night. We left together, but I jumped out half a car b4 shifting into 2nd. Once I hit 2nd, my car started wheel hopping bad, and he put half a car on me. He crossed the finish line a nose ahead of me, but my trap speed was a tiny bit higher than his. Point being, I need DRs, and judging by the wheel hop, suspension, and better torque arms.

Stone, I have heard the opposite. A lot of people over at mach1registry say short shifting is a good way to get a stock mach 1 in the low 13's. I have yet to try it but I can see it being true. My mach 1 seems to die down a bit over 6400/6500 rpms. Try shifting 2-3 at 6400 and then 3-4 around 6000 rpms. It also keeps you from going through the traps at redline in 3rd. I hope to get out one more time this year and try it. I got out once after getting my car a month ago and my best was a 13.56 @ 104 with a 2.09 60ft time. I do agree though, they are a bit tough to launch properly.

Thanks man, I will definetly try your suggestion. It's been proven that Machs are low 13s cars, so withmy mods,I'm sure it should be quicker than I've had it.I will be sure to post results from your suggestion later next week.

No problem man, definitely post your runs. I'd like to see how true it is.

I made a trip to the track this afternoon. I tried shifting at 6k rpms for three runs. Unfortunately, it didn't help me, so Iam callinga no-go on the car not making power over 6k.Lot of variableson that subject.Anyway, I was running consistent 13.22s at 107 all day. But, just as I was gettiing ready to leave, I decided to make one more pass. I have absolutley no idea what happened, but I suddenly dropped a tenth and picked up 2 mph!! Any ideas? I drove just like I always do. It wasn't a fluke because I pulled three more 13.1x runs in a row only they varied between 108 and 109mph.

Do you have DR's stone? I bet with some heated DR's you could be in the 12's. That would be nice to hit 12's with a mid-pipe, catback, gears and filter.

That's a negative on the DRs. Those and some lower control arms to get the wheel hop under control would get it into the 12s for sure.
