It is one of those issues that no-one can really seem to substantiate either way. A lot of us have steered away from them because we don't know. There is no logic that they should cause a problem, but there were a lot of people reporting oil pump failures/catastrophic engine failuresthat had them on the cars...

for a hundred bucks, and a few horsepower it boiled down to cost vs. benefit. I say if you get a quality set and are comfortable that the information out there is not credible then go for it...if you have any reservations, then spend the money on something else...
