Default Lowering Question

I was wondering, since Machs already sit a half inch lower than a GT, what springs do Machs need to be lowered a full inch from stock. It seems like if you bought 1 inch lowering springs that fits GTs and Machs, the Mach would only get lowered half an inch compared to the GTs 1 inch.

So basically, what springs do I need to but to lower my Mach 1 a full inch? Hope this question isn't too dumb!

A buddy and I encountered this problem w/ his Mach. He bought the Eibach Pro Kit and went to install the springs and they were the same size as the stock springs. And it only lowered the car a half an inch after being settled. I'd say go w/ the H&R's or the Eibach Sportlines to get that car sitting how you want because and kit that advertises 1"-1.5" drop will not do anything for your Mach...

+1!! yeah definitly dont get the prokit you will be very dissapointed with the outcome, i think it was accidental that eibach included the mach 1 with the gt lowering springs. Hardly lowered it a half inch after almost a month of settling.

Prokit=bad. So if I only want to drop it one inch, I should get at least 1.5" lowering springs? I don't want that "slammed" look, just trying to bring it down a little to close the fender gap and stablilize the car some. I'm thinking about some AGX adjustable shocks while I'm at it. I have them on my z28 and they are very nice!

Also, are these stock frame rails worth a damn? Have any of you changed yours?

The kits that quote 1.5" for the Mach 1 won't even bring it down an inch. Try .5"-.7" for those kits. If you want at least an inch your best bet is to get a kit that quotes something more than 1.5". By frame rails do you mean sub-frame connectors? If so those will be coming up on my car. They don't hurt and they help stiffen up the frame quite a bit, don't want any bent frames here...

I call subframes rails sometimes. Don't know why, they are the same thing. The HR SS springs advertise 1.5 and 1.75". I'm thinking about going with those. I was just wondering if it was worth putting stronger subframeson. The stock ones don't look like much compared to the Sphoon connectors on my Z28.
