I neverquestioned your times... I just don't think coming on here andattacking me and telling mei suck at driving with minimal modsis cool no matter what.

Either way my track times shouldn't have been brought up even if i was saying"I don't think your gonna get it... good luckwith that."

I was saying good luck as in I hope you get it.

P.S. I've only been to the track 4 times [:@]

my gt i run slicks on steel wheels. here are a few slips from the gt i was 213

here was my 12.9 pass

and yes the mods on that were sportlines, slicks, 3.27 gears, no tune, jlt RAI, plenum, 75mm tb, oh i forgot to say earilier that i had udp on it too. and no tune. as for launching i would hold it at 5k last yellow i would mat it and dump the clutch so 5500 was the launch about

on the mach at the time i didnt scan any slips but it was a 12.6 with a slipping clutch, jlt rai, php intake spacer, sct hand held and slicks

here is a vid of the launch and pass

the white cobra had a vortech and some traction issues

and i thought snakebitx1 was saying good luck as in you wont get it. but out of everyone i hang with they all say i drive the best bc idont give a **** if something breaks.
USMC's right, you can't argue with paper, but perhaps you could've clarified a bit because it looked like you said you ran that 12.6 in the GT.. Even in a Mach with those mods you'd have to be approaching pro level driving to pull a time like that if that's all you had in the car.. Perhaps you can afford not to give a **** if something breaks, but for those of us who have to consider ****-ant things like budgets and kids, we don't really have that luxury.. Might that mean we don't drive as hard as we COULD? perhaps, but that doesn't mean we don't know how.. Not really wise to insult people who most likely know just as much or more than you do about tracking cars.. and FYI, I'm gonna laugh a month or two from now when you show up whining about how your differential destroyed itself in one of those 6K launches..

too be honest with you...its not that he just straights up abuses his car that GT he had is a freak! I seen it personally, I dont even think it really takes a 6k launch to get that 12.9 because his old gt was hanging with his mach and it pretty much felt like my car with full bolt ons and 4.10s...with a tune. I know everyone says that factory freaks dont exist but that GT was very fast for a mild bolt on car either that or he is a great driver...

Which was never an issue.. Just seemed to me like he was being an arrogant a$$ about it... the car itself would have to be pretty sick to run times like that with ANY driver.. my issue was him being an a**bag, coming on here and insulting ppl he doesn't know jacksh1t about.. I was just a little skeptical about how he was runnning those times.. You do have to admit that it's hard to believe he doesn't spin the **** out of even slick all the way through 2nd gear if the car was as quick as it appears to be launching it at 6k like that..

thinking about your times dude, i cant argue with the slips, but i just dont buy your mods ("i got my gt into the 12s with stock gears and no tune.", "slicks, 3.27 gears, no tune, jlt RAI, plenum, 75mm tb, oh i forgot to say earilier that i had udp on it too. and no tune." )the 75mm aint gonna do anything, just allow the tq curve to fatten by 1-3 hp throughout and maybe 2-3ftlbs ( this is fwhp ) the RAI is good for 9-10 fwhp, the plenum no more than 10-12fwhp so that levels your gt off to 25-30fwhp or 285-290 fwhp x.17* DT loss= 249-255rwhp, and unless you've got massive weight reduction you're not going to turn much more than a 13.3-13.6 even on slicks @6k launch. so what else is really done? those times are stock times for a decent driver one a mach 1 and a basic bolt on stock geared gt CAN NOT keep up.......now i'd be willing to say im wrong if you wanna drive down here and race me.

doesnt the GT redline at like 5600-5800 or something like that?

Well then chill on the insults upfront and everybody will be cool broham.. never said it didn't happen, hell, slips are hard to argue with.. But I'm with USMC on this one.. I think your car did do it given the slips, but you had to have something else on it to run a 12.97 in a GT.. I thought I was lucky to run a 13.1 in my mach when it was stock, and given the numbers you'd probably get from just those mods, the numbers just don't add up brudda.. I'm just curious as to where the extra rwhp and/or traction are coming from that would have cut betwee three to five tenths off the time is all....
