about once a week my 04 mach won't start. it will crank over just fine but it won't fire. i let it sit for about five minutes and try it again and it starts just fine. sometimes it soundslike its sickwhen i hit the key, like its not getting enough fuel to the engine, but it still starts. i took it to the shop but the guy said he couldn't figure it out because there are too many possibilities and the check engine light isnt on and he cant hook it up. anybody have any theories?

make sure all your spark plug wires are on good, check the wires going from the ignition box.

If that's not the problem, check the battery.
Mine would sound like it was rising slowly from the dead when I'd turn it on. Something with my battery wasn't working so I forgot if I got it recharged or if I just got a new battery. Regardless, ever since the battery fix my car starts up like new everytime!
