Don't use AC

yea i would love to get some more mpg. the keep the AC off thing doesnt work here in texas thou. its so hot already that if you drive with the windows down you will be way too hot and stick to the leather plus the diff between AC and windows down in minimal. but yea anyone know any other tricks i think im going to take out my spare and jack today see if that helps at all

LOL.. I can second the sticking to the leather bit. It's doubly bad in VA because of all the humidity in the summer time. Though that's why I bought seat covers so the leather wouldn't pull the hair off the back of my legs when I drive in shorts in the summer.. lol The AC off trick really doesn't work all the much anyway. The only trick I've ever used is just to watch my rpms and short-shift when I have to and that usually works pretty well. I'm kind of paranoid about a$$hole drivers so I don't go anywhere without my spare and jack in the trunk. If you think about it, it's only about 55lbs anyway, so on the scale of car weight, it's not that much.
