Improving!
Went 4 rounds @ MIR. Getting my new tire/gear combo figured out w/ better ETs despite slow 60' from deciding to not clutch dump anymore. Previous best w/ dumping was 1.85 60' w/ a 13.30 ET @ 103 mph. Now with rolling the clutch it's a 1.94 60' w/ a 13.24 ET @ 104 mph, consistent w/ three runs in the 13.2s. Taking advice from guys on M1R and shifting now @ 6800, 6500, 6300. Getting 60' times where they should be and lower temps @ beginning/end of season will yield a 12 sec. run but happy to be improving and not leaving the track frustrated.
Got bye run 3rd round, cars came out even so I had to run the last car, he had a dial of 13.00, the fastest allowed in my class. He ran 13.02 on a 13.00 dial in the right lane his previous run so I chose the right lane. For a change I was being chased so I knew I had to be on. Cut a .019 light and beat him to the line by about 20 ft. He ran under w/ a 12.95 trying to catch up. I hit the brakes at the line and ran a 13.31 on my 13.30 dial. Sh*t it felt good. Best combination I've ever ran with a manual tranny.
