Default ABS light

So, i dropped the Mach 1. Ever since then, my ABS light randomly comes on and will stay on for a little while and then go off. i havent found that im doing anything when it happens. Just driving down the road and it will come on. Also, right after it comes on the traction control button light comes on (therefore my traction control is turned off)....as soon as the ABS light goes off....so does the trac light too....

i removed my wheels again to look at the ABS lines and try to look at the wheel sensors. Everything looks good to me.

Any ideas???

get the codes pulled, they will tell you which sensor to focus your attention on.

Is your brake fluid low? Do you do hard braking? Check fuses 2.29 and 2.35 under that dash. Also, you can take it to a Ford dealer, I read once that they have an ABS code reader that hooks up to the OBDII.

if the light comes on the codes will be stored in the memory and can be pulled out later even if the light is off. they will eventually clear themselves, but that takes quite a few drive cycles.

sounds like when you dropped it you may have distrubed one of the sensors, may need to check all of them and make sure they are positioned correctly. the T/C most likely disables or enables itself when it either thinks one tire is spinning faster than the others. it probably does this to protect the system from over reacting to a faulty sensor.
