this sucks, coolant leak already!!
just noticed a slow coolant drip coming down from the back side of the engine, passenger side. I read in haynes manual that it is the heater hose? I must remove the intake to fix this?? How much am I looking at here?

Yes, and I believe the dash might have to come off too but dont quote me on it (hopefully not).

ok, just got back from the mustang shop, they said it is the heater hose, i cant remember if they said upper or lower, the s looking one. He said he can reach it without taking the intake off and will only charge me 80 for the labor and the hose is going to cost $57 dollars, damn I thought chevy was expensive!!!!!

Well the good news is your dash doesn't have to come off lol because labor would be A LOT more than $80.
$80 sounds about like an hours worth of work for most performance shops, look into it yourself, might be pretty easy, personally i have not a clue, don't deal with mach 1s often.

Oh, yea Luke is cool people, I've been there several times. As a matter of fact I've been to most of the mustang specific shops down here. Glad you got that worked out.

Hose Leak
954MACH1, did you find out why your hose was leaking? On my car it was because every time the engine revved, it moved to the left, making the hose move and rub against a bolt coming out of the firewall. After I removed the leaky hose, I ground the bolt down and coated it in latex to prevent this from happening again.
