TR-6060 Swap
Well, the old axle is out. Took almost all day due to the Watts link, the ABS sensors being rusted into the castings at the axle ends, having to yank the 'vert bracing, etc, but at least it's out.
New axle going in tomorrow, then it's time to move on to the transmission...

I'm plugging away. The axle is in and control arms connected (ran into multiple minor problems/delays).
Tomorrow I need to freshen up the rear brakes, reinstall the Watts link and throw the new H&R rear sway on, then it's time to tackle the transmission.

Also installed the Roush anti-hop kit today. Sort of a pain as the gas tank had to be dropped down out of the way (fortunately I was aware of that and ran it nearly dry before starting work).
I'll be able to recoup $700-$800 by selling the take off parts.
So maybe around $1700 to 2 grand when all is said and done (not counting optional upgrades as you said)?
Well then...I hate you.
Just sayin'.
Now find me the same, or I shall taunt you a second time. </montypython>
I do almost consider the MGW a must, going thru all this trouble.. Looking forward to detailed install pics, and partial hows/whys.

That sort of the way I'm looking at it. Makes a ton more sense to do that now, while it's relatively easy with parts out of the way, rather than decide to upgrade the shifter after the fact, and have to struggle to squeeze it into place.
