They're doing this probably because they dont want to use old technology or develop a whole new motor just for one car. Its a money issue. But I can imagine the good side to this...Tuners will get their hands on the twin turbo 6 and open it up even further. no doubt. Still going to be a rocket ship of a car. Its all speculative though. I would still prefer a a rumble of the v8. You cant beat the music that comes out of the exhaust of a v8. nothing like it.

it's just an empty rumor. Nothing less and nothing more.

I prefer to hope for the rumor of it being an Ecoboost version of the 5.0 putting out 725-750hp.
Now that would be a smoking setup, since turbos aren't a parasitic drag on the engine, it would be putting out even more torque than hp.
