I hope that I have this system right and on that premise, I will add some details about my toy 89 LX 5.0.
It is burgundy with a grey GT interior and I bought it in 1997 to be a toy that I could add to yearly. It is a low miler that has never seen snow and since I've owned it I've added about 500 miles per year.
It started life as a 5.0 LX and had 3:73 gears, a 65mm throttle body and headers added by the previous owner. I've added frame connectors,a shock tower brace, Hurst shifter, aluminum rad with electric fan, cold air intake, B303 cam with roller lifters, Edelbrock performance intake, 80mm MAP, GT-40 aluminum heads and a set of 2 1/2 inch Flowmaster exhaust.
This spring I plan to add rear suspension upgrades and then try it out at the local drag strip. I may convert it to five lug wheels to compliment the 65 series and 50 series tires I have on the car.
My ultimate goal is, through the services of the forum, to find ways to make the car faster and better handling without breaking the bank and still retaining streetability.
