I just bought a 1989 Gt!
Hey!
I just bought a 1989 5.0 from a honda dealer, that was traded in.
It is black and also it had 17" Konig Monsoon wheels on it.
It cost me $1,500 and it is manual.
I'm thrilled, and would like to know what should I do first, in terms of performance. It already has a cold air intake and Exhaust without Catalytic converters.I just did the basic maintenance oil, spark plugs, cables filters, etc.
Any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated.

welcome to the forum. don't think 17" wheels were stock in 89, so first thing I would do is have a friend clock me going down the road at 55 mph and see if my speedometer is reading correctly or at least close. if not, see about getting a new gear to get it closer so you don't get any unnecessary speeding tickets. you don't say how many miles it has, so I would also recommend doing a compression test to see what condition the engine is in. If all the cylinders test out within 10-15% of each other, then you're in decent shape. If not, then you might need to get a valve job done on the heads. I'd go with 3.55 gears with a 5 speed. you might also want to change all the fluids, engine oil, transmission, rear end, coolant, etc.

Hey, do any of you guys drive any SVOs or Turbo cpupe Thunderbirds? I just got ahold of a 93' LX convertible and I'm trying to decide whether to go with the V8 or to go with an SVO/Turbo coupe setup. I could really care less how loud my car is. I am thinking about practicality and everyday drivability. However, if I can't find any parts for a turbo four stang, then I'm gonna have to go with a V8. If any of you guys happen to know any good places in TX to get SVO components, then please let me know.
