Default I've arrived in Project Village.

Been searching Ebay, Autotrader and Cars.com for about 4 weeks now looking for a decent 8cy project car with a manual transmission. Finally, a maroon 90 5.0 GT lands in my lap for a decent price.

Some observations about this car:

The clutch is harder to push in compared to my 97 ranger's. It could just be the different angle that my leg pushes, which is more upright in the truck. Since the Mustang has to contend with more force from the engine, is this normal behavior?

Its a bit noisy. The dealer said it was stock, but a cam change or a hole in the exhaust header might have escaped his notice. Quite a bit of dust blew out from underneath when I backed out from the dealership.

Dash squeaks and there's a bit of wind noise.

Eurethane trim faded a lot faster than the regular paint. I plan to repaint the whole thing midnight blue with silver stripes anyway, but I'm not sure how well the paint will take to the rubbery eurethane.

Really gotta slam the hatch.

Welcome to the board, and to owning a 90 model. The plastic parts can be painted with ease using a flex additive. The dash squeaks can be fixed by making sure all of the fasteners are in place and in good shape. Good luck with the hatch, I dont have one. But you cant have more wind noise than most verts. Post up some pics when you can.
