Default Another Nooob - 1st Mustang

Just bought my first Mustang. Originally I set out looking for a 1985 or 1986 GT convertible with a 5 speed - only wanted a cherry one with low miles. The only one I found was in Canada and they wanted too much for it. So, after a pretty thorough search of the Internet, I found and purchased a 1989 LX 5.0 convertible auto with 28,200 original miles. It is black with a black top and white leather interior. It has been a garage toy for someone for a long time in the mid-west and it is mine now! I'll keep it as a garage toy as well.

Had a friend go test drive it for me and give it a very close inspection & all was good. Completely straight metal, no paint work and clean as heck. It'll stay that way with me as I'll only drive it on the weekends on nice sunny days. Should be fun.

Only thing I need to do is have the passenger's door adjusted - looks like someone leaned on it with the door open. Not that bad for a 17 year old car.

Thanks all. It should be a fun weekend car.

I was only able to find one cherry GT convertible and it was up in Canada & between the transport and what they wanted, it would have priced me into a spot where I'd never break even on it. This one should serve me well for those sunny drives along the Strip and whatnot down here. If I break 35k miles before I sell it in 2011, I'll be surprised.
