Default New Mustang owner from AZ here

Hey, everyone, I'm Bobby. I'm 18, and from Phoenix, AZ. I am buying an 89 Mustang LX hatchback Friday, so I joined here because I am sure I will need some advise.

The car has no engine, tranny, or front seats, and I need new brakes and a rear end. I am not very familiar with rear wheel drive setups, as my previous 2 cars were a 1986 Honda Accord and a 1999 Mercury Cougar. I got in a situation with my parents, who co-signed on the car, and they took it from me, and told me not to contact them. Its a long story, and I don't want to bore you guys.

I am getting the car for $300 from a co-worker who has a 92 GT.

What I mainly need now is to get pointed in the right direction for what websites are the best for parts, as I will need a lot. What I am looking for is high-performance parts. I am planning to stick with a 5.0, as I want to keep things as relativley simple as possible.

Well, I hope to talk with the rest of you on a regular basis, and wish me luck on the project!!

Welcome to the boards!

Sounds like quite the project, but it'll be fun I'm sure.

Make sure and take before and after pics.
