So here is my story...
I've always been a car guy and had a toy a few years back. (Porsche Boxster) I've been wanting a weekend baby fora while and was actually thinking Vette. I decided to check out the GT's and one drive is all it took. I had my 7 year old son with me. He is really starting to dig cars and the Mustang is one of his favorites. One peek in the rearview mirror at his face during the test drive and I knew I was leaving with the car. I made my boy a deal. If we bought the car, he had to help with every mod. In the last 2 months he spun the wrenches side by side with me when I did the exhaust and the CAI. He can't wait for the hurst shifter to come in this week.
What he doesn't know is............ he's working on his first car.

Welcome to the board! Great story and great plan. I love working on my daughters car with her, even though she had to have a camaro. I still have hopes for my 3 boys, oldest is 11. Again, welcome.

Cool story and welcome! I've been working on cars with my dad since I was 10; great hobby to get him sucked into. Listen to him about the supercharger! I've only heard good things about them. hehe

RE: So here is my story...
I did the same with my son when he was 15, we built my dads 66 ranchero over a 3 year period, real nice motor, 410 HP 302 block / 289 hipo internals, balanced and shaved,no juice or forced induction, just raw power, he is now 18 and knows this is his car and could not believe it,only problem is the kid drives it better than me LOL, he runs better track times thanme of course I am34 years older than himand reaction times have slowed a bit, all dad's should do this, the look in there eye when you tell them is priceless.
