Default P0506

Hey everyone, I just purchased an 05 GT, actually about a month ago and the only mod is a K&N drop in filter.Todayon my way to the gym Igot a check engine light at about the same timeI noticeengine rpm drop below 500. Once at the gym I started playing around, flipping the ignition and such and in the process I notice that if I turn the A/C of the RPM would raise to about 800. So when I got home I check the fuses, good, check the filter and it was good as well. I thenchecked the Throttle body and it was dirty, but nothing terrible.SoI cleaned it (with a rag and some TB cleaner) and the car seems to idle better. Now I read some of the other threads and it seemed to be the consensuse that cleaning the throtttle body and PCV (if needed)would be a good fix. My delima is, I currently have 500 miles till the warrenty expires and I waswondering if it was worth my time to take it to the dealer to make sure the IAC motor isn't bad before I have to out of pocket the cost for a new one. Also, I have a buddy who has an SRT Neon and he says they have the problem regulary and they just take it off and clean it (the IAC motor). It that possible on ours?? Or does everyone feel certain that cleaning theTB and PCV valve will fix it. BTW I haven't reset the code yet to see if the cleaning worked, just going off the RPM, which like I said seems to be better for now. Like i said, my biggest concern is letting go for 500 miles and then I'm stuck with the bill.

First off welcome to the forums, as for your issues I'd say take it in and make sure its good, while you still have the warranty. If you have the time to do so, that is.

Yea, I don't see a reason not to, unless it is completely out of your way. No sense in wasting your warranty.
