Hi all. 1988 Mustang question.....

Hi all.
I want to know a few things about a 1988 Ford Mustang. My father has a convertable that he has owned since 1988. The mechanic says he cannot work on it due to rust on the underbody. It still runs quite well and looks good. So I was wondering what forum on here I should go to - to find out - where there is a Mustang mechanic in Massachuettes. Also, since I think I would like to own this car since he doesn't really use it anymore - does anyone have any stories, photos of before and afters of this model. I would like to not only have it fixed up by someone who specializes in this car but some cosmetics to it. As it is, its burgendy with grey interior. So so as far as I am concerned. I would like to find someone to brighten it up a bit with a more firey red color instead and didn't know if this was a possibility which is why I would love to see some before and after pics of the 88.
