Default Newbie... improving a 06 GT convertible

I have a nice 06 GT convert. It had some work done by the previous owner.CAI,Flowmasters, 20" weld racing wheels w/runflats,SCT custom tune, clearcoat bra and it has been lowered.I am going to my local tune shop to purchase a KB 2.6L tomorrow morning...I am mostly interested in how to get hooked up when I get all this power. It is hard to keep from spinning them as it sits now when I am driving hard.I don't think I will be able to race it with the 20's on so I need a good source for a strip setup.[:-] I have to get some pics to post...but it is gonna be a sleeper...all stock on the outside, silver w/black top

I would go back to some 17" wheels with either Street or drag radials

I'd take 18's to be honest with you, there are several brakes and tire selections you'll lose with the 17's.

Also I'd invest in a good tranny and motor upgrade soon and use that KB!

Hi Rob,
Welcome to the forums. Sounds like you've got quite a sleeper there. Don't forget the brakes!
