Default observations/introduction from a new member

1). I'm a brand new member. This is the best forum I've lurked on.
2). Kudos to all for some much appreciated honesty and information (vibration at start-up which I was able to tell my Ford dealer how to fix, shared opinion on shortcomings of the Shaker 500, general agreement with those that appreciate the '05 GT)
3.) Empathy for those waiting for delivery and the mixed explanations of the delays (I was able to get mine off the lot before Thanksgiving, paid MSRP for GT Premium, manual tranny, IUP and color accent package, wheel upgrade, side airbags, satin silver and active anti-theft... but was able to negotiate up 1K on my trade). I think I grabbed it before anyone else got a chance to think about it, especially the dealer! Now March 14, dealer hasn't had any since its initial one, which is mine! Hehe. Only one in the county!
4.) Not a motorhead and not independently wealthy; reading what I understand of performance mods postings just makes me jealous (o.k. maybe a little sick jealous).
5.) Very willing to answer any questions I'm qualified to: I just had the "Midlife Mustang" in for its second oil change and service at 5500 miles, so I do have a little experience with it. The best experience is, of course, the attention it gets whenever I stop for gas or anything else. O.K. that and maybe just a little mind-numbing performance.
6.) Looking forward to some interesting discussions!

Thanks for the welcome, Ramon. I just checked out your site and think we'll probably do some business! That Faker 500 sound system has got to go. I'm a definite McIntosh fan from way back and think that with some of your adapters, etc. I'll be able to get my current system to fit, somehow. Do you know the speaker sizes? I think the rear deck are 6 x 9, but I don't know about the door panel drivers. Would appreciate some guidance. Thanks.

Apologies to Dan and Steve and wish to thank the two of you as well for your gracious welcome; it's just that Ramon's [picture] is bigger. LOL

Hi...
Welcome....love the car!! I'm trying to find "my" Stang....'05 white GT with light graphite interior, auto trans, IUP, anti theft.
This is my 50th b'day present to myself. Everybody else says it's a mid-life crisis...so be it!! Can't wait to get it. Don't really want to order it, but may have to. Still looking. Any problems with high insurance on the Stang in NY? I'm in GA and they're high here.

Insurance for the pony is just shy of 2k/yr, thanks mainly to two kids with multiple at-fault accidents. Sheesh. (And that's only about 1/3 the total bill with 4 vehicles!) Good luck with finding yours in-stock. You can find dealer inventories on-line and see who's near you that's got what. I was on vaca in Orlando last week and went by a dealer in Cocoa Beach a couple of times... looks like it had about 5 GT's on the lot, most I've seen in any one place yet. If you're in southern GA, might be worth a cruise, but check on-line first.
