Default Which toploader??????

I am restoring a '65 Falcon 2dr hdtp. We have made modifications With help from Crites and the car now has a 351 Windsor with a C4 auto. We have since torn it down again and had the body sent off to be media blasted. While it's torn down I was wanting to find a toploader 4spd for it, but I'm not sure what I need. The 351W for my car is from a 1969 mustang. Some one has told me that falcons are odd ***** compared to fairlanes/mustangs etc when it comes to toploaders and that a toploader from a mustang/fairlane won't work (because of the shifter location?). Do I need to find a toploader from a 1969 mustang to match the engine or do I need one from a '65 falcon to match the car? I'm sure the bellhousing plays a role in this too, but I'm not sure what I need. Hopefullysomeone can help and I appreciate any info I can get.

Thanks,

Danny

Hey Danny, if you want an answer to this question I recommend posting it in the Classic Section of the forum. The guys there will know the answer alot better than anyone else here will.

Welcome to the Forums!!I believe you need a Borg Warner T10 4 speed as the shifter would be in the right position!!Good Luck!!
