I'm beginning to get the shift off the line figured out a little more fully. The car was modded with a 4:10 rear gear among a few other goodies. I think the low gear exacerbates the difficulty. That aside, learning to cope with what I have I've found I do better if I stay off the gas totally until the clutch is beginning to engage, then start feeding them both in slowly and gradually. Seems the best technique I've used so far if I can make it second nature.
Larry, here's a shot of the old girl in the front yard, hope it comes thru. And thanks for the thread link, I'll check it out-

Hey critter...good job! Car looks great!
It wouldn't hurt to start out in 2nd gear, ya know. Those 4.10's (like I have) are great fun
once you get used to them. Way more fun to have on some nice 'twisty-turny' roads!
