Car Starts Then Dies After 5-8 Seconds
Hello All,
I'm new to this forum and just need some advice on a problem I am having.
My vehicle.
2004 Ford Mustang Cobra
Problem
Car was driving fine and then one day while driving the car stalled at 35 mph. Started it back up thought nothing of it and it was fine for the rest of the day. Then the problem became worse the next day.
The car starts fine, idles fine for about 5-8 seconds then stalls out.
Once it stalls it starts up every time. When I try to drive it during the 5 seconds that it is running there is no power. I literally have to keep the gas on it around 3,000 rpms to keep it from stalling. Once I have it at 3,000 rpms for about 5 seconds it will then surge and drop to about 500 rpms then back to 3,000 rpms(with my foot stationary on the gas pedal) drops rpms by itself. This happens every 5 seconds like clockwork.
I hooked up my diablosport tuner to the car without it running to check codes.
No codes found.
A friend of mine suggested it might be the IAC.
Just looking for some advice here and thanks in advance for the help.
Thanks

if the concern was caused by an IAC it shouldnt stall while cruising at 35 mph, the FIRST thing you should check is fuel pressure, if you have low pressure it will cause a stall, and with a supercharger can cause dangerous lean out conditions. get a guage and get a live reading.
Key on, engine off fuel pressure 240-485 kPa (35-70 psi)
Engine running fuel pressure (idle) 152-255 kPa(27-37 psi)
