Stopping in to say hi before I post a quick question about a door latch rod I bought. I'm not sure if I bought the right part or even if it's needed.
Anyway hi. I bought a 66 coupe from a guy about 8 months ago. It was originally a 6 till owner prior to PO dropped in a 289 out of a Galaxy. It sat in his driveway for at least 10 years. After getting towed to my house it sat for ~8 months and for the past ~2 months I've been gradually working on it. I've stripped the interior which was a roach palace. The carpet was so bad that when I took my shop vac to it the threads ripped apart and got sucked into the vac. I was able to just grab the carpet by hand and rip it out. A lot of the body work is new to me but so far I managed to replace the hood and passenger door. I put in new floorboards as well. Looks much nicer w/o the 'flinstones' look.
At the moment I'm working on the passenger window weatherstrip and door latch. Hence the latch rod question.
