Greetings all,
A little over two years ago I picked up a very nice 2007 V6 convertible with only 23000 miles on it. We had an absolute blast with it, but from the day I got it I wished I'd gotten the V8, for one reason only--the sound of the V6. It was just a constant drone which was so out of character with the rest of the car. Well, one thing led to another, and last week I picked up a 2006 GT in the rare legend lime metallic, a color which both my wife and I really like. It had only 18,000 original miles on it and was owned by one family since new. Last week we flew out to California, bought it, and drove it 3964 miles back to our home in Maine which took us eight days. We drove the Pacific Coast Highway, saw the redwoods, the Columbia River Gorge, Glacier National Park, Big Sky Country, Lake Superior, and more. What a fabulous trip, and what a car! It averaged right around 24 mpg all the way across. I haven't found a thing wrong with it except for a minor issue with the top. This car is so much fun to drive! Yesterday I took it for its state inspection which it passed with flying colors, and I can tell you the undercarriage is pristine. Such is the appearance of a low mileage twelve-year old car which has never seen salt. Well, it'll never see salt if I have anything to do with it. I've uploaded two pics, one of the '07 I just sold and one of the '06 I just bought. I'd add more, but it's a beautiful day and the GT is calling..... :-)
