Question Timing / MSD / Mechanical

I am new to the forums, and I'm not really sure what I'm doing when it comes to posting. If someone could help me find the right place to post this I would be grateful.

My current dilemma is that I am tired of TFI computer controlled timing acting up in my 94 GT. I was thinking about ways to delete some of it. I currently have a MSD Digital 6AL. I am wondering if this would work:
Install a MSD magnetic pickup dizzy with MECHANICAL advance. Pull out the spout connector. Program fuel curve. Adjust springs/weights in mechanical dizzy.

How exactly is it acting up??Its a fairly easy system that does its job correctly for the most part.Do you have alot of mods or are you planning to add em in the near future??
MSD's parts can be hit or miss nowadays on their quality.
