I just finalized a deal on a 68 Mustang Coupe, getting delivered next week. He is going to have a look for the data plate as it is missing. He could not find the VIN but I did a quick search and read it is sometimes covered by the dash PADs on 68s. They have a clean title but the VIN has a Z code. (Hazelwood Missouri) I can't find a reference to indicated that Mustangs were assembled in Hazelwood. Hoping the VIN and Data plates show up. Can any one confirm the VIN 8Z01C123456. Once I actually have the car in my possession I can post the actual sequence #.

 

F, R, and T are the only plants. You will find the VIN on both fender aprons, the drivers side will be visible by a cutout in the fender, the passenger side will be hidden up the fender.
