Hi my name is Chad, I have been a lowrider since the early nineties, but now I think I will try the speed thing. I recently bought a '86 Mustang GT from a guy for $130. I know the guy who once owned it. The car had passed through a few set of hands since then, so you can imagine what kind of shape it is in. It's a little banged up, but I am a so called amature body man and painter. I am also a shade tree machanic. Nothing fancy or high-tech, but I normally can narrow down a problem with a car with a little study.

I am extremely happy to be here and love to chat with any that want to tell me how lucky I was to find this car.......

sounds like you got a steal. like a really good steal. my cold air intake was 150$. does the car run ok? how do you like it? and is it a 5 spd. or AOD? give us a better description or post some pictures. we will be glad to help you out on anything. Welcome to the forums!

yeah you can't beat that....you can have a 12 second machine w/ all brand new body parts and fresh paint for about $2500 total.

Its a 1986 GT. The wiring harness under the hood near the solinoid and coil was burnt. I rewired using a Hayes Manual. The car cranks and runs as long as I spray starting fluid in the intake. I cannot get the fuel pump to send fuel to the injectors. The fuel pump is good, I ran a jump wire to the pump and it works. If you all have any ideas... I would greatly appreciate it.

bad wires going to the fuel pump. or the fuel pump has bad ground.
