I was just wondedering how quiet is the Vortech SQ. I know that it's not as loud as most other superchargers. Would someone know that you were blown just from the sound at idle or at low RPMs ?

Noone is going to know that you're blown unless you go into boost, period. That's not gonna happen if you're just driving around town. You'll only go into boost if you get on it above 2200 RPMs or you rev it up in neutral.

people will know it's there. they won't necessarily know what it is unless they know what a centrifugal supercharger sounds like. you can definitely hear it.

You can kind of hear it in this video, but I am used to it by now.
