Default New guy with exhaust question

I'm new to this so I need all the help I can get. I have a 94 GT. In the past week I have come to the decision that I really would like a new exhaust system. I know it is not something that you just rush out and get. So please give me all the info you can. I would prefer something with a little bigger tips maybe 3" but the most important thing is loudness. I want something that is going to rumble and people will be able to hear when I'm coming. I thought something by flowmaster but I dont know. So any suggestions would be really appreciated.
Thanks

Default RE: New guy with exhaust question

You may want to post this kind of question in one of the technical forums - probably the "5.0" forum. I'll go ahead and give you my opinion though.

I, too, have a '94 GT. You won't need a 3" exhaust on a 94 GT to make it loud. The 94 comes stock with 2 1/4" pipes, but I went ahead and replaced all my parts & pipes to make it 2 1/2". Sounds a lot better. I bought BBK equal length shorty headers, an off-road (no cats) Prochamber midpipe, and Magnaflow mufflers. Everyone has a different opinion about exhaust, so your best bet is to get all the info and opinions from these guys and then make an educated decision of your own.

Welcome to the forums and good luck with your exhaust!
