im thinkin about nitrous for the ol stang and had a few questions
first off, im new to the bottle scene

1) should i do more supporting mods first

2) is a 100 shot something that will do damage to my engine over the long haul

3) what is the best kit? wet vs. dry / company1 vs. company2

4) what is truly needed?

anything else any1 can imput is greatly appretiated

1. if you want to run more than a 100 shot then yes it would be a good idea from fuel pump to forge motor
2. 100 shot wont cause damage as long as you take the safety precautions that most people ignore
3. Name brand is also good to go with. Wet usually dynos higher and is safer on higher shot. Dry only sprays nitrous so you rely on your fuel injectors vs a solenoid.
4. Genx2 kit if you go with NX...window switch, tune, 1-2 step colder plugs. i know im missing something else...

1) supporting mods not much. a step colder plugs, other than that the only thing you need now is to get the power to the ground, tires and suspension(u/l control arms, subframes) ftw.
2) just get it tuned and, run a wot switch and window switch. you can always add a fuel pressure switch for the best safety combo.
3) for a smaller shot dry. for the bigger shots wet is better. Both the wet and dry have there disavantages, but basicly for a stock engine with the stock intake go with a dry kit. nx/zex/nos
4) money, time, parts and a tune

If you need a bigger shot you will probly need bigger injectors, a focus fuel pump and probly a another step colder for plugs. double check what the stock injectors support for as hp, thats something I have never looked into

1) it's not needed, but a 190 pump and msd ignition are good ideas.

2) no

3) you pick...personal preferance, if you don't mind gasoline flowing through your intake perfectly atomized, plus an added oxidizer causing a potential hazardous condition that only needs heat added to blow your intake out of the car.......get a wet kit

ha ha , i like dry , but yeah it's personal preferance.

4) technically nothing at all, the above stated are good choices, you need to close your plug gap up too , about .035"-.040"
colder plugs are not really necessary, retard timing about 2*-4* depending on how hot or humid it is.

window switch to be super safe , fp safety switch comes w/ most kits. tps switch to use instead of micro-switch is nice, but again not needed. remote opener is nice to have, bottle heater is about mandatory, but you'll just waste nitrous and might not get the full benefit w/out it.

i have been spraying 14* on 80 shot jets and been ok, but it hasn't been hotter than 75* every time i went to the track.
on 100 jets, 10* is a good place to start and try bumping from there.

I do believe you dont have a fuel return system, which rules out the ZEX dry kit for sure but I dont really know if all the dry kits require a return system or not.
