oh yea, 1 more thing. what is wrong with my clutch? sometimes it will have the normal amount of give in it, sometimes it will have absolutely no slack, and sometimes it will have more than it should.any ideas?
stock clutch cable is flexing, check it out. then get a billet adjustable unit. an exhaust leak can hurt power, especially low end torque

Not sure if the double nut thing will work. I believe the studs are like lug studs and are pressed into the flange. If you double nut it, 1 you could break it off, 2 strip out the flange (then you really screwed) or 3 work and be just fine.

I am pretty sure it is double nutted. But the bolts should have nothing to to with the seal it is the interface between the pipes and flanges that seal it the bolts just hold it together.

Agreed, its much more important that you have the entire system lined up before you start cranking the bolts down. Also, don't tighten 1 side up all the way first, tighted each side of the flange gradually back and forth. But if you do try to replace them, just look behind the flange to see if they are pressed on or screwed on. I honestly believe they are screw in studs, but Im not positive.

I looked at mine and the square heads are sunk into the flange so you dont need to have a wrench on both sides. Thats the only reason.
