Default Turbo Stang!

So I nutted up and decided to go with perma forced induction. Out of the 2 categories, I decided to go with a Turbo. I see lots of supercharged 2v's, but rarely do I see a Turbo one. So I have about $3200 to spend on a Single Turbo kit for my 96 GT. Any advice on this would REALLY help me out as I do not know much about Companies that make Turbos. I look on google for awhile and found some stuff, but I figured I would ask the guys here for a bit more advice. The shop in-town also quoted a $1000 installation fee...does that sound about right?

You have $3200 to spend on a turbo kit for a modular???

Did you ever wonder why you see all those supercharged modulars and not so many turbo ones?

The only way you are going to stay within your budget is if you can build the system yourself.

home made turbo kits are actually very easy to make....the only reason most people dont build their own is lack of knowledge how a turbo system works or the main reason, the inability to weld, cut, grind, and bend pipes do to lack of tools or knowledge. you dont have to be able to bend pipes because they sell pre-bent ones but you still have to be able to cut, weld, and grind
