Hi, I have a simple question:

What the air intake does?

I'll like to hear more the engine and I don’t want to put a pipe to my car, so a friend of mine told to put an air intake and it will give more boost and I’ll hear more the engine! Is this true?

I had being searching I cannot find it my car is a 2002 3.8 V6 so which intakes do you guys recommend me?

I know that the air intake it has a plastic cover like a black box right now, what happens if I take it out? Any problem with censors?

Well you need an air intake in order for the car to properly work. if you want a good system you should go with a K+N, they make a kit for your car.

 

I think my car is working properly right now!, but i just want to hear more the engine, what shoul i do??

he gave you a good answer. The K&N kit will put a bit more air into your engine and you will get a whooshing or sucking sound from it. When you say you want to hear the engine more, what exactly do you mean? A cat back exhaust will let you hear more rumble, if a v6 can rumble.

 

Ok another thing, you know the black plastic intake cover that comes from the factory is that necesary? what happens if i take it out? When i say that i want to hear the sound is when i boost i want the hear more a sport sound a don't want something to loud!!

I just love the sound that V8 has but i know is a bigger engine! mine is a V6
