huh is magnaflow a good exhaust or something? everyone keeps sayin magnaflow. i wonder what brand is the best. huuum let me think.

 

In a very similar boat as 04GT, I am also noob with my Mustang ( '02 GT ) and am looking to upgrade the exhaust. Does the Magnaflow system come with everything that's needed? Or are there other things that I'll need to pick up to get the complete system? I'm also wondering if anyone knows whether I'll see a dramatic decrease in fuel economy because of Magnaflow exhaust. I'm trying to decide wether it'll be Magnaflows or Flowmasters right now and not 100% sure if I'll get the new system, seeing that a recent talk I had with a gentleman at a Ford dealership informed me that an exhaust system upgrade will void my warranty, but.... how can anyone drive a Mustang with that ****ty factory sound ? [:@] tell that stupid guy at ford to shuv it up his ***. and a catback aint goona void your warranty. pleeez listen to me dont get slowmaster ok. listen to almost everyone in the world. magnaflow is the way to go best power best sound hands down and thats the bottom line.do some research on dynos and sound you will see. www.dynoperformance.com go to this website and look up mustang GT dont put in the year. just put that in the search. and it will show you the mods ppl have and the hp. make sure you read it right cause some of the cars ar autos and some are 5spds. you will see the slowmaster didnt give any of them any performance gain. it just sound and the sound isint better than magnaflow. now where is my money magnaflow come on where is it. lol lol.

 

It's perfectly fine to modify your exhaust. Take your car to another Ford dealership for warranty work.

Hmmm... browsing that dyno results website, I wasn't able to find one car that ran above 270 HP and used Flowmasters. All of them were Magnaflows.... very interesting. Ok, so let's say I was going to go with Magnaflows, what all do I need to buy? Unless I find a shop that will get the stuff for me I might just buy it online. Can I say, " Give me your Magnaflow package? " or do I need to specify certain parts, etc.?
