Default BPV or BOV

Ok, Im going to be running a non i/c procharger P1sc on my 04 Gt. I will be sticking with the 8 psi pulley. Since its going to be non i/c im a bit weary about recirculating the hot air back into the s/c inlet. In this case would a BOV to the atmosphere be the best route? Or just run a BPV and not worry about it? Any Info is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Eric

most procharger units come intercooled cuz they run hotter than comparable units such as vortech...so i would run the intercooler with the s/c. included in the price of the kit i thought...and its a good thing to have.

and you hafta do some research about bpv vs. bov relating to your maf and whether its blow through or draw through i believe. you might not even be able to run a bov.

I'm running a P-1SC with no innercooler (although i did add water / methanol injection later but for different reasons.) You can run 8 PSI fine with no cooler. The kit I purchased did not come with one and I used the 10 PSI pulley. The kit will also come with a bypass valve that you can vent into the atmosphere. It's unmetered air so it won't be a problem if you decide not to recirculate it.

If the meter is going to be AFTER the valve, then it won't matter. I've always ran bov's for that exact reason, but according to a few companies, neither will offer better performance than the other.
I tend to doubt that because of why you said. Make your own call on it. I'm not going to argue that our reasoning is true, as there is no evidence backing it. I've ran bov's on all of my cars & until I see proof that it doesn't hurt performance to use a bypass, i'll continue to use bovs.

Like I said, I'm running a procharger with a bypass. Since it's unmetered air, I don't have to recirculate it. So I just vent it into the atmosphere. No performance issues there.

That's what i'm talking about. I've always vented to atmosphere. I don't see why anyone would vent back into the intake unless it's metered & even so I don't get why you wouldn't just move the meter.
bypass valves are meant to run back into the intake, bov's are meant to go to atmosphere. You are using a bypass valve AS a bov.
