Help me pick my blower

RE: Help me pick my blower
I do have a dyno sheet if that would help. However, the HP and torque will be less due to the fact that on the dyno I had 20's, and it threw the balance off so much. So, the difference would be about 15 WHP and 10 TQ give or take. But, yes, I have a non-intercooled vortech. Intercooled does lower it. Also, vortech does not deliver so much on Torque, and I have an auto.

k, I only ask because I have always wondered about the TQ/RWHP relationship, especially as reported by various dyno's. I wasn't questioning the results, just the relationship between the two.
I understand that RWHP is simply a mathematical calculation based off of the measured TQ but why the relationshipvaries so much is the confusing part. I'm too cheap to get dyno'd again on a different dyno but so many people have higher RWHP-to-TQ numbers and mine is the opposite. However, it seems like Mustang dyno's tend to do that.

my car made 1122rwhp and 700rwtq on a dynojet... higher RPM motors have a tendency to make more HP vs tq on a centrifigal setup!

RE: Help me pick my blower
all cars that rev higher will make more horse power then torque, this is why diesels that rev 3500 rpm creates a lot of torque but no horse power, horsepower= torque x rpm / 5252, so knowing this the higher the revs the more horse power

I agree. That is why imports tend to make good HP numbers, and so-so TQ numbers. If I went with a Whipple, with my current tune, as an example, I would be around 480 RWHP and 490 RWTQ at about 8-9 lbs.

I recommend the Paxton 2000. It will push as much boost as you will ever need andit is warrantied for 3 years. I have the intercooled 2200 on my 07 and pulled 420rwhp on my first pull (stock engine and fighting spark blow out) without any tweaking yet. Others are pushing over 480rwhp with just a tune.
