Default What Supercharger...

I've always wanted a centrifugal supercharger on my 2000 Mustang GT, and was hoping to attain 430 RWHP and 400 RWTQ with an intercooled setup. SO far, I have a K&N air filter, a professional products TB and Plenum and Typhoon Intake manifold (I know the manifold has been getting a lot of bad reviews, but so far no problems with it since I got it 7 months ago). I also have MAC LT headers, a ceramic coated Prochamber midpipe, and a Flowmaster cat-back.
I've always liked Vortech, and I now that they've come out with the new V3 head unit that doesn't need oil lines (self-fed) like the P1SC and D1SC Procharger units. I'm trying to decide between a Vortech V3, and Procharger D1SC, and the Paxton Novi 2000 unit. Which kit do you guys recommend for the power...I plan on someday forging my internals...but for now, want to restrict the boost to 8 or 9 PSI. Any input would much be appreciated. Also, if anyone knows a vendor is SO CAL that accepts local pickup on superchargers, that would be great. Let me know. Thanks!

I would not recommend 430 rwhp on a stock block you asking for trouble. With your mods i don't think u will hit 430 rwhp w/ 8/9 lbs of boost. Keep it at 400 rwhp and when you do your block increase the boost and you will need another tune.

What is your HP goal for your car? Your goal should be 400 rwhp or 500. But will 500 whpis going to be extremely costly as you will needto upgrade block, rearend, tranny, clutch.....

I have not heard much feedback with new V3 since it is a new product line and if you want oil filled I would go with Procharger since they have been doing it for years. Don't get me wrong I like Vortech and have a V2SQ but something to consider....

actually, if he had a 3650 tranny, it should be fine. you forgot about heads/cams & fuel though... that's the biggest pain when you start getting big numbers [&:]

Right, there's a long way to go in terms of power adding. For now, I just want to get around 400 rwhp with 8 PSI. I don't know how much the Vortech V3 SI head units are separately. Does anyone think it's a good idea to get all the parts separately from superchargersonline.com and then get the fuel injectors, MAF and fuel pump and the head unit? Thx guys.
