Default Question Regarding Drivetrain Noise

I've spent a couple hours researching this and have found a lot of different information. Just wanted to check with you guys here and let me know your thoughts.

06 GT with the 5-speed. 62k miles on the odometer. My question is regarding drivetrain noise... it sounds like it has a supercharger... I joke but there is a steady whine from the transmission. Its not loud enough to overpower the radio unless I listen for it. On the freeway its barely noticeable. Shifts feel very solid if notchy, but lock in with authority. I have some "clunking" with a 1-2 and 2-3 and back down but only slowly and with no power. Basically if I dont want to make a sound I can, and shifting under power and quickly I dont hear/feel it (or im to busy having fun to notice).

Other people in the car either didnt notice, or said yeah I wouldnt worry. I just spent 14k so im going to worry . It sounds like the 3650 can be a little noisy along with the 2-piece drive shaft. Im new to these cars coming from a well worn Honda Accord. If it is fairly normal for a 60k mile car im thrilled. If not I just want to be prepared. I should note I didnt notice in the test drive...

Thanks for any information!

It is probably ok, but at that mileage I would say it's time for some new synthetic fluid in the trans.
Congrats on the new to you car, pics are a must.

Thanks for the reply's.

Honestly the noise, if normal, does not bother me at all. All part of owning the car... Such a cool feeling coming from an Accord 5-speed.

What fluid are you guys running in your manual transmissions? Any favorites?

Here is a picture I snapped yesterday after getting to work:
