I'm starting to wonder weather its worth modding the car now and s/c in the future, or if i should save up now and just go ahead and do it. Ive already got a couple things done. How much money will supercharging ultimatly cost broken down by a kit, tuning, install and whatever else im leaving out. I dont know exactly what it takes to install it but i think that might be done by myself. Aftercooler worthwhile? Interms of the hp you get out of it? Is it possible to weld up an air-air system myself if i bought a universal intercooler?

well, if i were to buy everything brand new at a local stang shop. it would have been $5,200 for everything out the door. includes the whole KIT, chip, dyno tune & install. that's for a vortech kit. the KB was about a grand more i believe.

 

I dont mind buying just what the engine can handle and im hearing that thhat is 8-9psi. Where is a good place to find used setups?

 

you gotta look at how your car runs now and really decide on it. its alright to have as long as u dont rag on it all the time, your askin for problems then. off 9 lbs and a good tune ull see over 100 hp gain
