Help!? what part is this? Vortech install

Help!? what part is this? Vortech install
i know the where the air intake assembly and supercharger go... but this part i suppose is supposed to connect to my t/b? The guy i bought it from had a shaker hood system but he said he just had it as a hood scoop when he installed the kit so idk if that would make a difference... help i have no clue lol.
