Intercooling the 1500 build?
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I haven't been able to find a good answer. I read the intercooling your vortech sticky, but couldn't get either of the links to work. So my question is this. If I want to use an ebay fmic with my recently acquired V1 S-trim, what parts do I need that aren't mentioned in the $1500 thread? What from that thread do I not need to buy?

you just wouldnt need to buy the discharge pipe assembly. But you would need to buy a good bypass valve and have it routed to the intake tube. other than that just reclock the head unit, mount the intercooler, and route the pipes up to the throttle body

Thanks for the quick replies guys. I was thinking that I probbaly wouldnt need the discharge assembly, but wasn't sure. As far as a good quality BPV, what would be an example? Superchargersonline has a Bosch one for I think $90, is that considered high-quality, or do I need something better? Also, I thought I remembered reading that a lot of people go blow through with an intercooler, is that something I should be considering?

bosch is the stocker if im not mistaken. you can buy one used for like 30 bucks.
blow thru refers to the MAF setup. if you do blow thru you need a blow thru maf and a blow off valve. draw thru is the normal lightning maf setup with a bypass valve. its much cheaper to do draw thru. blow thru is a better setup for multiple reasons, but its more expensive. either is perfectly fine especially only running low boost on a stock bottom end. so take your pick...
